Here at LGSF we have just wrapped up our very first Apprentice Open Week; a fantastic initiative led by our Operations Manager, Lee Forster.

Having received support from Rachel Medley, York and North Yorkshire Careers Hub, and Holly Robinson, Careers Guidance Lead, Driffield School and Sixth Form, we welcomed candidates from a number of local schools and colleges to experience life in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment within the construction industry, with the goal of recruiting an Apprentice Draughtsperson.

Over the course of the week, candidates aged 16+ took part in various exercises designed to give them an insight into the design and manufacturing processes at LGSF.

We received incredibly positive feedback with the students telling us they found the experience both informative and enjoyable.
