Brief

Modular Plantrooms was commissioned by Potteries Mechanical Services to deliver the structural design and build of a louvred LPG gas bottle housing for North Lindsey College in Scunthorpe.

Solution

Working to the specification provided by Potteries Mechanical Services, the Modular Plantrooms design team developed a bespoke structural solution. The plant room floor was reinforced to safely support the weight of mechanical equipment, and Unistrut systems were integrated into the walls to accommodate the gas pipework.

The plant room was fully constructed and clad off-site at our facility, then transported to the college for final installation.

In addition, a separate, purpose-built LPG enclosure was fabricated. This included a louvred walls and security rated access doors features to ensure safe gas storage in line with regulations.

Results

• Off-site fabrication ensured minimal on-site disruption and enabled rapid installation.

• Reinforced floor and integrated Unistrut ensured safe, secure support for heavy plant and equipment.

• The modular design provided flexibility, compliance, and ease of transport and installation.
