LGSF Line Managers undertake Mental Health and Wellbeing training.

Line Managers from LGSF Ltd.’s Scarborough and Helperthorpe sites recently completed a "Mental Health and Wellbeing for Line Managers" course, expertly facilitated by Paul Potts from Whiterose Training.

At LGSF Ltd, we fundamentally value our people and believe that a healthy, supportive workplace starts with well-equipped, empathetic leadership. This training ensures our managers have the practical tools they need to put our people first every single day.

We believe this training will deliver real benefits across our sites:

For our Staff:

  • Psychological Safety: Teams can work knowing they are in an open, stigma-free environment where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical safety.

  • Proactive Support: Staff receive faster, more empathetic interventions when facing personal or professional challenges.

  • Stronger Workplace Relationships: Open communication lines foster deeper trust, mutual respect, and collaboration between teams and leadership.

For our Line Managers:

  • Increased Confidence: Managers gain the skills to handle sensitive conversations about mental health constructively and legally.

  • Early Detection: Leaders are trained to spot subtle, early indicators of stress, anxiety, or burnout before they escalate.

  • Resource Readiness: Managers now know exactly how and when to signpost team members to professional support networks.

A huge thank you to Paul for delivering such an impactful, engaging and essential session which will help us to create a culture where wellbeing is woven into everything we do.
