A UK zoo is embarking on an exciting development to create 29 unique safari lodges within a captivating Savannah habitat. Designed to offer guests an immersive overnight experience surrounded by Rothschild’s giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, ostriches, and antelopes, these lodges aim to blend luxury with nature. LGSF was chosen to supply pre-engineered steel frames to support the construction of these lodges, each with between 4 to 6 bedrooms.

Project Requirements:

• Supply 175 tonnes of high-quality steel for on-site construction of 29 safari lodges.

• Deliver frames in stick form to facilitate easy transport and assembly.

Pre-Engineered steel frames in stick form: We supplied 175 tonnes of high-quality LGSF steel sections, pre-cut with CNC precision, ensuring uniformity across the 29 lodges. This stick form approach enabled easy, economical transport and on-site assembly, maximising logistical efficiency.

Six lodge designs for a distinctive experience: The steel frames supported six different architectural designs across the lodges, crafted to give guests a unique and memorable stay amidst the wildlife.

Enhanced on-site versatility: The stick-form steel sections were transported efficiently to the site, allowing for easy adaptation to on-site requirements. This method supported versatile and innovative lodge designs, seamlessly integrating into the zoo’s Savannah habitat.
