Brief

This is an innovative project where light gauge steel framework was used to create a living wall at the head office of a major car manufacturer. This project demonstrates the versatility of LGSF in delivering lightweight yet robust solutions for unique architectural and landscaping challenges.

A landscape gardener approached us to provide a solution for supporting a large living wall. The structure needed to be:

• Lightweight to minimise stress on the building.

• Strong enough to support the considerable weight of the plants and irrigation systems.

• Durable to withstand exposure to weather and moisture over time.

Solution

We designed and manufactured a bespoke wall using light gauge steel frames typically used in modular home construction. The frames were fabricated at our manufacturing facility to precise specifications and then transported to the site for installation.

The use of high-quality steel ensured the structure was:
